LEL Environmental cylinder recycling solutions are safe, environmentally responsible, and cost-effective. We begin with removing the organic compounds and scrapping the cylinders for recycling—even for tanks manufactured prior to 1985. Our experienced technicians assist in proper handling and documentation, ensuring regulation compliance.
Our cylinder recycling services include:
- Delivery and pick up
- Compressed gas
- Residual gases
Acetylene cylinders can contain as much as 6 gallons of acetone. Acetone is a clear, colorless, low-boiling, flammable, and volatile liquid characterized by rapid evaporation. Older containers, 26 years or more, often contain asbestos. Asbestos can cause lung cancer and mesothelioma as well as pulmonary problems such as asthma.
The careful management of spent cylinders reduces the liability and increases awareness of the producer’s environmentally responsible practices.
Companies or individuals who violate state and federal regulation regarding hazardous waste management are subject to increasing stringent consequences. For more information about federal policy on hazardous waste management click here.
LEL Environmental is committed to a high standard of ethics focused on environmentally friendly practices. Our experienced cylinder recycling consultants use a step-by-step approach to develop customized solutions for each customer.
